Volunteering

There are many ways in which you can serve and help St Patrick’s become a stronger Parish community.

Sunday (and Saturday) Masses

At weekend masses we are always looking for new people to help with the following ministries:

  • Welcoming
  • Reading
  • Children’s liturgy
  • Altar service
  • Eucharistic ministry
  • Music
  • Teas and coffees
  • Fairtrade stall

During the week

If you have any extra time during the week, there are a variety of ways that you can help St Patrick’s run more effectively and grow in faith, examples include:

  • Parish faith activities
  • Sacrament preparation
  • Church cleaning
  • Parish social events
  • Over 60s bingo
  • CAFOD Kitchen Garden
  • Parish Community Council, Finance Committee or Buildings Committee
  • [others]
  • [others]

The time commitment is very flexible, even if it is only an hour or two a month or getting involved in an ad hoc event.

New ideas

If there are any activities you would like to see in the Parish and are willing to help set-up (eg informal mum and toddler coffee morning) please don’t hesitate to come forward. We are always looking for new ways to become stronger as a local Parish community.

If you would like to get involved in any Parish activities please contact Father David.
